    Diasporic songs of Belonging: Judeo-Spanish women’s songs
    Dr Vanessa Paloma Elbaz

    Women's songs in the vernacular have served for centuries as spaces of intergenerational communication and for the sonic meeting of oral and written knowledge. Paloma Elbaz is one of the world's experts in Judeo-Spanish women's songs and is recognized internationally as a performer of this repertoire.

    This is the inaugural recital in what hopes to be a series of concerts featuring music and instruments from around the globe. Some performances could not happen due to lockdown, but we are pleased to present these two:
