    Eighteenth-century and Romantic period British literature; charity in literature; Horace Walpole; eighteenth-century Indian culture and natural history.

    Biography:                             

    Andrew grew up in Essex and studied at the University of Durham as an undergraduate before completing an MPhil and PhD in English at Trinity College, Cambridge.  He was Parliamentary Manager at the Charity Commission for England and Wales, then was successively Lecturer and Senior Lecturer at the University of Exeter, where he served as Director of Education in English and had responsibility welfare and wellbeing. He was appointed as Senior Tutor of Murray Edwards College in April 2023.
