MEC's inaugral Wellbeing Day will take place on 23rd February 2023. Students are invited to drop into the Long Room between 10am - 4pm to participate in our wellness walls, craft activities, jigsaws or just relax in our comfy area. Refreshments will be available throughout the day and you will be automatically entered into the raffle to win a Wellbeing Hamper.
There are activities taking place throughout the day, some with limited capacity. Please see below. If sign up is required, complete the webform at the link.
10am Sleep hygiene workshop - Long Room
10.30am Wellbeing Walk to collect items for leaf printing - Gardens and Long Room (please meet by the herb pots next to Pearl House).
11am Leaf Printing - Long Room (you don't have to participate in the walk as materials will be gathered)
12pm Mindfulness - Council Room - Sign up advised (30 places available, drop in at 12pm to see if there are any spaces if you forget to book)
1pm Sleep hygiene workshop - Long Room
1.30-2pm Tips on financial wellbeing - Long Room
2pm Yoga - Council Room - Sign up advised (20 places available, drop in at 2pm to see if there are any spaces if you forget to book)
2-3pm Paper flower craft - Long Room
2-4pm Drop in financial clinic - A7
2.30pm Wellbeing Sculpture Walk followed by sculpture soap carving - Gardens and Long Room (please meet on the outside walkway).
3pm Soap Carving - Long Room (you don't have to participate in the walk)
4.15-5.45pm Introduction to Strength training - Gym - sign up required (only 10 places available). Please note, you must already be a gym user and have signed the waiver to participate.
