These are provisional arrangments and may be subject to change.
Although congregations are held at intervals throughout the year, the late June or early July congregation is set aside for what is called General Admission, at which most undergraduates proceed to their first degrees at the end of their final term. Also included at this time are those receiving their Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine.
General Admission 2023 for Murray Edwards graduands is Saturday 1 July. It is hoped that this will be preceded by a Graduation Dinner in the Dome for graduands and Fellows on Friday 30 June, at 19:30, with a reception in the Fellows' Drawing Room from 19:00.

Timetable
The timetable will not be confirmed until about a week before the ceremony. The 2022 timetable is available as a guide only for 2023.
What to wear
Please check the academical dress web page for information. You may wear your own academic gown as long as it is clean and pressed. The alternative is to hire a gown and the appropriate hood for the degree that you will be receiving. You will require a gown (no hood) for the Graduation Dinner on Friday. If you order through Ede & Ravenscroft, they offer a 'Collect in College' service.
Please note that it is important that you order your gown and hood well in advance.
Accommodation
All students on a 33-week contract may remain in College until Saturday 25 June without incurring extra rent (except for Buckingham House residents, who will be charged for the College room booked after the end of Full Term on Friday 16 June). All those graduating and on 39-week contracts may stay until Saturday 1 July.
Please note that although College accommodation is free for Graduands on 1st July, you still need to book a room with the Accommodation Office. All students and, if we are able to invite them, guests will be required to vacate their rooms by 18:00 on Saturday 1 July.

Photography
Find out about photography at Senate House on Graduation Day.
As well as taking the formal group photograph on the Friday, photographers will be present in College on Saturday to take studio-style portraits as well as more informal pictures of graduands and their guests.
Tickets for the ceremony and garden party
You may request tickets for up to 2 guests to go to both the Senate House and the Garden Party (you do not need a ticket for yourself). The number of people allowed in the Senate House has been reduced to comply with Health and Safety regulations and our ticket allocation is strictly limited. We may have a small number of spare tickets and, if so, these will be allocated by ballot. You can apply for tickets and a place in the ballot on the Eventbrite GA page. The deadline for applications is 6 May.
Graduation Dinner
Those graduating at GA are warmly invited to attend the Graduation Dinner on 30 June. We have assumed that you will all want to attend and will send more information later in the year.
Unfortunately, you can only attend the dinner if you are graduating on 1 July. If you will be staying on next year to do a fourth year, you may not attend the dinner this year.
